Six Sigma – Green Belt - Training:- [Module 1]
a) Course Objective:-
1) To improve your company's any business process with assured financial saving.
2) This program is designed to provide candidates with both a technical and practical
foundation for improving any business processes, by using six sigma D M A I C methodology.
3) Maximise ROI (return on investment), investment on Six Sigma Trainings]

b) Seminar Contents:-  
  • Overview of Six Sigma Methodology
  • Identification, Prioritization and selection of Improvement opportunities
  • Roles and responsibilities in Six Sigma implementation
  • Over view of Six Sigma Project execution (DMAIC or DFSS/ DMADV) (Define- Measure-
    Analyze- Improve & Control, Design for Six Sigma, Define Measure Analyze Design and
    Validate)
  • Development of Project Team and Charter
  • Define and Map Processes to be improved (SIPOC (supplier, input, process, output,
    customer) / COPIS (customer, output, process, input, supplier)), Activity Flow Chart)
  • Identification of critical to customer / critical to business characteristics (concept of tree
    diagram)
  • Type of Data, Sample Size determination for a given confidence level and Data Collection
    Planning including use of Prioritisation Matrix and/or FMEA
  • Introduction to various statistical software packages for data display and analysis like
    Excel, Minitab, Systat, JMP, SPSS, etc.
  • Measurement System Evaluation (Gauge R&R) for variables as well as attribute data
  • Understanding variation-special causes vs. common causes (like dot plots, box plots,
    histogram and control charts)
  • Stratification methods (like Pareto, Bar Diagrams, stratified dot plot, etc)
  • Evaluation of Process Capability and assessment of Sigma level
  • Process Mapping including, identification of value added and non value added activities
    (use of lean concept)
  • Organizing for potential causes using cause and effect diagram, FMEA & Tree Diagram
  • Verification/validation of causes using work place investigation (GEMBA)
  • Concept of correlation and Regression and use of the same in validating causes
  • Concept of Test of Hypothesis like 2 Sample t, Chi Square, ANOVA etc and use of the
    same in validating the causes
  • Concept of Industrial experimentation
  • Select and prioritize solutions for the validated causes including concept of Risk Analysis
    using FMEA.
  • Develop plan for pilot and full scale implementation
  • Concept and Examples of Poke Yoke, Visual Workplace and 5S
  • Evaluation and monitoring mechanism (like control chart for controlling purposes,
    Process audit, Surveillance) of results after implementation of the solutions  
  • Institutionalization and integration of the solutions
  • Process of Closing the Project
  • Work through at least 2 six sigma projects of different applications

c) Course Duration  : Four Full Days
1) Green Belt:- (Part - 1): - Two Full Days
2) Green Belt :- (Part - 2): - Two Full Days
The total course time devoted to direct instruction and to assigned team and individual
activities shall be at least 28 Hours. The course will end with a test for successful completion.
d) Eligibility:- Minimum One year work experience.

Six Sigma – Green Belt - Project Work:- [Module 2]

It is a mandatory requirement for Green Belt Certification.
Six Sigma green belt training completed participants should take one new process
improvement  project in their own organization by using D M A I C methodology.
The project should save minimum Rs. 50,000/- per Annum saving by way of process
improvement.
If saving from one project is less than Rs. 50,000/- per Annum, then it will not be consider for
Green Belt Certification. Then participants have to take one / two more project/s to make total
financial savings of Rs. 50,000/- per annum, to the company.

c) Eligibility:- Participants should attend all four days of Green Belt Training.
d) Fees: -  N I L, If no guidance required after training. [We give only e-consultation at extra
cost as per below table.]


















e) Time: -  Participants should carry out this activity within their company only. [They Should
complete it within 180 days, to become eligible for Green Belt Certification.]

Six Sigma – Green Belt- Certification [Module 3]:-

a) Objectives:- To verify the company's business process improvement & financial saving and
award certification for the same.
b) Contents:- Participants must submit the process improvement project report by using D M A
I C methodology [in hard & soft copy] and give presentation (Ms. Power-Point) and viva
(answers to questions related to process improvement & financial saving.]
c) Eligibility:- 1) Participants should attend all three days of Green Belt Training.
&
2) Participants should complete one project of process improvement with minimum Rs. 50,000
/- per Annum saving by way of process improvement, to company. Finance department should
certify the financial saving.
OR
2) Two or three process improvement projects totalling minimum Rs. 50,000/- per annum
savings, by way of process improvement, to company. Finance department should certify the
financial savings.
d) Schedule:-   One Hour project presentation (power-point) and viva, to verify the claim made
by participant, as per calender.
e) Fees: - Rs. 3,371/- (3, 000 + S. T.  per person, per presentation.)
f) Time: - One Hour presentation & one hour viva exam.

Mode Of Payment:- Cash or Pay Order / Demand Draft in favour of," Quality Management
Institute”, payable at Mumbai.
