Overview: - Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a technique, which tells when to leave the process alone (undisturbed) or when to take action on the process based on statistical signal. It helps the process to be maintained in stable condition. Stable process produces consistent quality and prevents the occurrence of defects. It is a move to shift from Find & Fix to prevention. In the past, production makes the product and quality control to inspect and screen out items not meeting the specifications. Works in other areas are often checked and rechecked to catch errors. These are the strategy of detection or Find & Fix (detection or inspection) is a wasteful activity, it allows time and materials to be invested in products and services that are not usable.
