A) Course Objective:-
A-1) To develop skills for becoming a successful Management Representative
(M. R.) / ISO Coordinator,
A-2) To develop skills for becoming a competent member of your company’s core team, which
is responsible for developing,
implementing, maintaining & improving your company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
based on ISO 9001 Standard,
A-3) To develop skills for conducting Quality System Audits on Suppliers (Vendors) on behalf of
your company.
A-4) To develop skills for conducting third party / external audits on behalf of a Certification
Body
B)Course Contents : -
C) Eligibility / Prior Knowledge of Students (Participants): -
C-1) It is recommended that the students attending this course shall have adequate
knowledge of ISO 9000:2000 series of standards and some prior knowledge of QMS auditing.
OR
C-2) Must have attended our (SSQMI's) ISO 9001 QMS Awareness & Documentation training.
C-3) Important Note / Warning: - No prior knowledge as above may lead to unsuccessful
completion of this course and the gaps in this knowledge may not be covered during this
course. (This warning is given as per Accreditation Rules of Auditors Registration Board
(IRCA / NRBPT)
D) Pre- Course Questionnaire: -
Fill complete "Pre-course Questionnaire", to know / Test your prior knowledge.
E) Certification: - A Certificate Successful Completion will be issued to those delegates who
satisfactorily complete the continuous assessment and pass a formal written examination.
Those not wishing to sit in the examination or not reached the required standard of
competence will be issued a Certificate of Attendance.
F) Registration with Auditors Registration Board (like IRCA / NRBPT): - Successful
completion of the Lead Auditor Training Course will in itself satisfy the training requirement for
IRCA / NRBPT registration to any grade of QMS auditor.
We will explain you how to register with IRCA during training.
G) Evaluation of student / participants:-
Each student shall be evaluated using the following two independent elements, both of which
shall be satisfied if the student is to successfully complete the course:
Continual evaluation by the instructors of each student's achievement of the learning
objectives detailed as above,
a written examination that tests students' ability to apply audit principles and practice against
the requirements of ISO 9001:2000.
G-1>Continuous Assessment: - (Continuous evaluation by the instructors of each student's
attitude, auditing capability, written and oral communication skills and performance as a team
member and in role playing)
i) Attendance (daily 2 marks)
ii) Punctuality (daily 2 marks)
iii) Participation (daily 4 marks)
iv) Exercise -1 / Case Study - 1 (daily 5 marks)
v) Exercise– 2 / Case Study - 2 (daily 5 marks)
vi) Exercise– 3/ Case Study - 3 (daily 5 marks)
vii) Exercise– 4 / Case Study - 4 (daily 5 marks)
viii) End of Day 4 Test (10 Marks)
ix)Total= Day 1 + Day 2 + Day 3 + Day 4 + Day 5 = 180 Marks (pass marks = Min. 125)
G-2>Final (written) Examination: - (A written examination that covers the learning
objectives and in particular the application of audit principles and practices to ISO 9001)
i) Time / Duration = Two Hour (120 minutes)
ii) Total Marks = 100 marks (Pass marks = 70)
iii) At least 75% of the examination grade shall be based on questions that require essay
response and shall demonstrate the student's ability to analyze audit scenarios and
understanding of how to apply the ISO 9001 standard during the audit.

K) Discount on Fees for multiple nominations from one company is as follows :-
For 1 - 2 nomination : NO DISCOUNT
For 3 - 4 nomination : 5% DISCOUNT
For 5 or more nominations : 10% DISCOUNT
The fees will cover expenses for providing course notes, ball pen, writing pad, lunch and tea.
Fees once paid will not be refunded; it may be adjusted for future training courses during the
same financial year.
